How does the online conference work?
If you purchased a ticket, with the same email address that you used for the purchase, you can log in. Then you will be able to access the Paid Access Area.
You will find every program there.
On Day 1 & 2, we will live stream every talk and panel discussion there for you, just like a tv program. You can start a conversation about the live-streamed sessions in the comment section right below the streaming segment.
On Day 3, we will use zoom to connect, or those with a Hybrid ticket can attend the workshops on Day 3 in person.
OPEN Conference will be a hybrid experience in 2021
After careful consideration, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the first time in the event's 6-year history, we are creating a new hybrid experience that will take place over the course of 3 days:
November 10: Virtual conference and meetups (online)
November 11: See you at the BMC Library (offline and via live stream)
November 12: Workshops (online and in-person)

Just like us, many Hungary-based nonprofit organizations believe that it is important to build bridges between for-profit employers and nonprofits. Such cooperation can be mutually beneficial to everyone.
In 2021 at OPEN Conference, we invited several nonprofit organizations to present their work, their core mission, and how they can support each other with employers. Of course, there are many more amazing nonprofits working for inclusion in different ways. We encourage every one of you to do your research, look at the Conference’s program and beyond, and actively get in touch with local organizations. Please find the incoming presentations below.

Diversity & inclusion are more than just buzzwords: it’s a purpose.
2021 is shaped by recovering from the pandemic both at the workplace and society at large. Corporations and small businesses face more pressure from their communities to lead by example and stand up for meaningful social change. Responsibility is more important than ever: individuals, business leaders, and decision-makers are expected to act more responsibly and do the right thing. More and more business leaders are prioritizing the common good over temporary successes, and become more purpose-driven.
OPEN Conference is a forum for Central Eastern Europe-based employers, experts, and decision-makers who believe that diversity & inclusion are more than just buzzwords: it’s a purpose. Many experts in the region are alarmed by rising discrimination and hostile environments, so creating open workplaces is vital: both for the well-being of employees and the economic benefits it may contribute to. Employers pledge to do more for their employees and redefine the purpose of corporations to promote a workplace where everyone feels empowered and included. Building inclusive workplaces must become a key purpose for employers in the region.
At OPEN Conference we are committed to better understanding today’s challenges and find purpose together through meaningful conversations, roundtable discussions, presentations, workshops, and case studies. OPEN Conference represents not just a platform for business leaders and decision-makers, but also a possibility to influence local trends, use their voices and inspire other purpose-driven organizations.

OPEN Conference is more than just another diversity conference
OPEN Conference is organized by WeAreOpen, which was co-founded by Google, espell, and Prezi in Hungary. It is currently a community of over 1,000 companies and organizations. WeAreOpen’s mission is to show millions of people that openness is a value for organizations. We help businesses and employees experience, learn and demonstrate the benefits of inclusion. We do so through building the community of openness-promoting businesses and employees, offering services and insights, and creating campaigns with a coalition of businesses to show to millions that it is worth to be open.
We offer our unique approach as a starting point for others, as we share our network, experience, and expertise in order to create positive change together. We have local, regional and international businesses and organizations we cooperate with to make all of these happen.
